Search the catalog, renew and reserve items, check the events calendar & more. With the native Apple or Android app, try the feature called "Scan a barcode." You can scan the UPC barcode of any book at a friend's house or book store & instantly link to that book in the SWAN catalog to place a hold.

•  Access My Library
Using your GPS, this app shows you which nearby libraries have Gale databases available for viewing wherever you may roam.  Free access is granted to newspapers, magazine articles & more.

Mango
Mango Languages
(iPhone Only)
Mango includes audio-visual lessons for sixteen languages, including Chinese (Mandarin), Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Registration requires a Tinley Park Public Library card number & email address.

Dewey (Android Only)
This app is your guide to the Dewey Decimal System.  Use it to navigate your way around our nonfiction shelves.

•  Library (iPhone Only)
Use this app to locate the libraries nearest to you. Although there are other apps that pinpoint nearby businesses, this one is exclusively for libraries.

•  Local Books (iPhone Only)
This app is powered through LibraryThing. It shows all book-related places and events (bookstores, libraries, literary events) near a specific zip code. It takes the functionality of the Library app and goes several steps further.

•  Eucalyptus (iPhone Only)
One of several e-book reader applications that also provides access to all 20,000 of the free Project Gutenberg books.

•  iBookshelf (iPhone Only)
iBookshelf is an application for cataloging your book collection and designing bookshelves based on the classification scheme.
