Richard III: The Historical King and Shakespeare's Villian

The recent discovery of the remains of the historical King Richard III has sparked a re-evaluation of his true character.  Independent teacher and lecturer John Nygro compares accurate information about Richard's physical body and contemporary accounts of his personality with William Shakespeare's portrayal of him as a malformed, evil manipulator.

Shark Shredding Event

Saturday, September 24 from 9–11am

It's that time again!  The Friends of the Tinley Park Library will sponsor a shredding event in the West parking lot located north of the tracks at the 80th Avenue train station.  A maximum of two standard-sized paper boxes filled with your sensitive papers (bank statements, bills, etc.) is allowed.  Approximate dimensions are 16" x 8" x 12".  Shredding representatives will remove the boxes from your car, take them to the shredding truck, and shred them on-site.

With our Conversion Station, you can bring in your 12" LPs or 45rpm singles and convert them to digital audio.
