Park, the Tinley Park Historical Society meets on the third
Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the Landmark
Church at the address shown above. The museum is open Wednesdays,

Genealogists may appreciate some of the following special
items owned by the Tinley Park PL, including the Illinois Death
Index (1916-1950); the Orland Park - Chicago Heights edition of
the Star newspaper on microfilm from 1929 through 2001
(formerly known as the Tinley Park Times, the Tinley
Park Star Tribune, and the Tinley Park Star Herald),
and an index to gravestone locations in selected south suburban
cemeteries compiled by the South Suburban Genealogical and
Historical Society. The library also owns the complete set of
Germans to America, the Passenger and Immigration Lists
Index, and subscribes to two newsletters published by the local
genealogical societies listed above (Relatively Speaking,
and the SSGHS News).
