Year in Review @ TPPL

2016 saw your library grow leaps & bounds! Check out these highlights from last year in case you missed them:

o Color Me Mellow coloring club not just for kids (following the latest craze)

o Exciting new off-site programming for adults at our Mix It Up program at Parmesans Station on the 2nd Thursday of the month and for children at Panera Bread

o We unveiled a brand new Digital Media Studio and analog-to-digital Conversion Station

o Wildly successful adult, teen, & child summer reading challenge with thousands of participants

o The Bookmobile visited Helen Keller School in 2016 during the complete remodel of their library to ensure the kids weren’t without great books to read.

o We started a new Mah Jongg club! We even have an instructor for those new to the game.

o We unveiled a new Local Author section featuring works by writers from our area.

o Tinley Park Public Library cardholders can now access over 4,000 courses in Business, Technology and Creative Skills taught by industry experts through

o Preschool Fair (YS)

o Field Day Summer Reading Finale (YS)

o Fairy Tale Theater’s Production — Alice in Wonderland (YS)

o We celebrated 20 years of programming for Teens at the library (YS)

o Our new preschool area in the southwest corner on the upper floor with a new LEGO table as well as a train table. (YS)

o The library was thrilled to host its first-ever TEDx event in October featuring four dynamic speakers.
