Native plants are beautiful, adapted to the local environment and beneficial to wildlife, but how do you make them look their best in your home landscape? Learn simple design principles as well as some friendly native plants for your home garden in this University of Illinois Extension Cook County led program. Time will also be spent discussing how you can get involved in conservation efforts through the Conservation@Home program with Illinois Extension and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.
Nancy Kreith is a horticulture educator with University of Illinois Extension in Cook County. Nancy received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and her Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Currently, Nancy shares her expertise by training in the subject areas of soils, woody ornamental plants, vegetables, herbs, insects and sustainable landscaping.
