Mind Games II
About this event
He reinforces the concepts in MIND GAMES 1 and adds even more ways our brains are hard wired to believe things that defy logic and facts. He’ll give ideas on how to overcome these innate biases. As always William will inform us on the proven ways to preserve brain health and how the library can help.
Born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago, William Pack is a magician, storyteller, author, and historian. At 11 years old, William got a job in a magic shop and hasn’t stopped performing since. He trained at the Chavez College of Prestidigitation, performed close-up magic at the legendary Schulien’s restaurant, caught cheats for a casino. In 2001, he taught actor Will Smith sleight of hand for his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in the film, Ali. When he’s not presenting library programs on history and science, he can be found performing regularly at the Chicago Magic Lounge.
