It's a tale filled with international intrigue, mechanical marvels, fabulous flops, and a bit of murder and mystery, too. See rare clips of the earliest motion pictures and learn how such inventors as Edison and the Lumiere Brothers established the path that leads to today's dazzling blockbusters.

Craig Pierce Bio:
Presentations combine many of Craig Pierce’s favorite interests: a passion for supporting public libraries, a keen interest in 1880s-1930s America, an enthusiasm for research and a desire to chat with an interested audience. Craig has shared the following programs with dozens of libraries across northern Illinois:

·         Without a Mask: Hockey’s Daredevil Goalies

Craig has worked in marketing and programming with Genoa Public Library, St. Charles Public Library and Clarendon Hills Public Library. He currently works for the Village of South Elgin and lives in St. Charles, Illinois with his wife and two children.
