The Ballet Russes (Russian Ballet), under the direction of Serge Diaghilev, redefined modern art and ballet from 1909 to 1929. Scheherazade, which premiered in Paris in 1910, was one of the most sensational successes of the Ballets Russes. This presentation, by brothers Jeffrey Nigro and John Nygro, explores the creation of this dazzling performance and includes video clips of the beautiful score, innovative choreography, and spectacular colorful designs.
