Women for All Seasons - Hybrid/In-person
About this event
In-person with virtual presenter - Historian Clarence Goodman tells the fascinating and compelling stories of six Chicago women who changed and continue to change the world. The stories of Agent Kate Warne, Miss Ida B. Wells, Capt. Frances Glessner Lee, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Mother Dolores Hart, and Dr. Amy Lehman are transcendent and inspiring in scope and in nature.
For the safety of our community, masks are encouraged.
Speaker Bio: Musician, historian, and radio personality Clarence Goodman has been all over the place and all over the map. From entertaining senior citizens at retirement communities to performing at wine bars, from giving "virtual tours" based on Chicago history to leading actual physical tours around the Windy City, and hosting inciteful, provocative radio programs, he has quickly earned a reputation since returning to his hometown.
When it comes to music, his artistry knows few limits. His songbook spans generations and genres, dipping into to the catalogs of artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Billie Holiday. An hour-long show at a retirement village may find him playing "Stardust" one moment and "San Antonio Rose" the next.
