Summer Celebration: Friday, June 12
We’re kicking off the sunny season with a celebration! Enjoy food and fun for all ages with your community. It’s also a great opportunity to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge, Plant a Seed & Read!
Drop in to these events:
- Outdoor Petting Zoo: Presented by A Zoo to You
11 am–2 pm
All Ages: Stop by to visit with many adorable animals including goats, sheep, a little cow, donkey, llama, bunny, and chickens. This hands-on event will be held on the east side of the building in the grassy area next to the parking lot. No signup required!
- Norberto Guerra Trio Outdoor Concert
6:30–7:30 pm
Enjoy a blend of Latin jazz, flamenco, classical guitar, and Latin pop from the Norberto Guerra Trio. Bring your own chair or blanket. Concert will be indoors in case of inclement weather. Drop-in event.
- Teen Summer Celebration
6:30–8 pm
Entering grades 6–12: Celebrate the summer with video games, tabletop games, and a walking taco bar! Drop-in event.
Food trucks will be selling delicious treats at these times:
11 am–2 pm
- Dip N’ Double – enjoy complimentary ice cream while supplies last, courtesy of the Friends of the Tinley Park Public Library

5–8 pm

- The Original Rainbow Cone
