At its regular meeting on January 25, 2023, the Tinley Park Public Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously to publish a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural Services in an ongoing effort to improve library facilities and spaces.
The Tinley Park Public Library is requesting Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from interested architectural firms to provide professional interior design, architectural, and engineering services on a per project basis for the interior renovation and redesign of the existing Library.
The purpose of the project is to create a master space plan that will be used to holistically design, upgrade, rearrange, and refresh the interior space of the building to meet emerging service patterns, and fulfill the current and future needs of the community. Focus areas include improving signage and wayfinding throughout the building, creating clearer zones for quiet/social uses, modernizing restrooms, redesigning spaces to be more flexible and multi-functional, and redesigning the Youth Services area.
