Worldwide Knit in Public Day
About this event
What is “World-Wide Knit in Public Day?” It began in 2005 by Danielle Landes as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. It is now the largest knitter-run event in the world, with events in over 50 countries. All around the world, people bring out their knitting or other yarn projects to celebrate with others the joy of handicrafts!
It’s all about showing that knitting is for all ages, and all communities, who enjoy the art. This event is open to those who prefer to do other fiber arts projects as well, such as crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, etc.
