THERE IS CURRENTLY ONE POSITION AVAILABLE
Bookmobile Clerk — Part Time
This part-time position assists with the operations of the Outreach Services Department, under the supervision of the Outreach Services Manager. Requires the ability to drive a 24-ft. long specially equipped vehicle, in a variety of weather, road, and traffic conditions, to neighborhoods, retirement centers, and parks in the communities of Tinley Park and Orland Hills.
The successful candidate will work with library patrons of all ages and be able to work in the confined space of the Bookmobile. Must have computer skills, a knowledge of popular reading for adults, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. The Tinley Park Public Library serves both the communities of Tinley Park and Orland Hills with a combined population of 63,852 residents.
Part-time, Tuesdays 12:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and
Thursdays 12:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
May include some evenings and weekends.
Must have two years of college. Must have two years’ experience working with the public. Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record. Must take a driving test.
